Tires Guide
|
This section is a tires guide for what tires are the best for
your 4x4 Ford. These are not the only tires on the market for off-roading but these are
some of the most popular ones.

BFGOODRICH
The BFGoodrich Radial Mud-Terrain T/A's wide, muscular tread is
shaped to provide extra bite and, according to the manufacturer, formidable traction.
Special traction bars in the voids between the tread's shoulder elements enhance
self-cleaning ability, and the tread pattern has been tuned for a quieter highway ride.
The Radial M-Ts are available in 17 sizes and three load ranges for a wide variety of
applications. For information, contact your local BFGoodrich Tire dealer. |

BIG O
Big O Tires' Big Foot XT's computer-generated tread is designed to dig and grab in the mud
as well as other driving surfaces. The XT tread design is available in sizes ranging from
235/75R15 to 35x12.50R15; some sizes fit 16-inch wheels. Big O tires come with an
unusually extensive warranty. For information, contact your local Big O tire dealer. |

COOPER
The Cooper Discoverer Radial STT is said to be an excellent tire
choice for mud. The deep shoulder lugs are alternately scalloped so that one section
always has a clear shot at fresh terrain for better traction. They're available in a full
range of sizes for most 4x4 applications. For information, contact Cooper Tire Co., Dept.
FW, P.O. Box 550, Findlay, OH 45839, 800/822-8686 (dealer info). |
